Li Dongxia

Li Dongxia was born in Jilin in 1968 and lives and works in Beijing. Her practice spans oil painting, woodblock printing and ink painting. In recent years, she has explored plant-based extracts and organic fabrics, working with sunlight and the inherent qualities of natural materials.

Flavor of the Sun brings together Li Dongxia’s exploration of woodblock printing and persimmon-dyed summer cloth, with attention to nature, light and water.
